The Vintage Automotive Technician/Mechanic specializes in maintaining and repairing classic cars, ensuring their optimal performance and preservation. Working primarily within a small team of specialists or independently, this role demands expertise in vehicle diagnostics, engine and brake repairs, and electrical system maintenance using standard automotive tools. Minimal customer interaction is expected, allowing focus on high-quality technical work and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify and address issues in classic cars
- Repair and maintain engines for vintage automotive models
- Service and repair electrical systems and brake systems
- Replace fluids and automotive parts as needed
- Conduct preventive maintenance and thorough vehicle inspections
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in automotive repair
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics, engine repair, brake systems, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of hydraulics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective time management abilities
