Type of Opportunity Full time – FTE: 0.90; Job Exempt: No; Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America). Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Establish and maintain the sterile field while assisting surgeons throughout operative procedures. Perform surgical scrub duties, instrument counts, specimen handling, patient positioning, and other intraoperative support. Clean, inspect, assemble, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and reusable medical devices according to regulatory and manufacturer guidelines. Monitor sterilization processes, maintain quality assurance documentation, and ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety standards. Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and support the readiness of the operating room and sterile processing areas. Collaborate with the surgical team, mentor team members as appropriate, and participate in ongoing education and process improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required; Sterile Processing certification preferred. Current BLS certification required. Minimum one year of experience in an operating room and one year of sterile processing experience in a hospital, clinic, or veterinary setting required. Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and advanced surgical specialties, including ENT, orthopedics, spine, plastics, ophthalmology, and total joint procedures.
