Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and proficiency with ventilators and intracranial pressure monitoring.

Details

• Hospital-based Neuro ICU setting
• Day/Night rotation schedule with shifts of 3x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM), totaling 36 hours per week
• Rotation between day and night shifts occurs every 4 weeks, subject to unit needs and manager clarification
• Every other weekend required
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1–2
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon signing a contract — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet urgently upon receipt
• Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase through CampusParc, ranging from convenient garage access to budget-friendly surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center
