RN Supervisor (Operations Coordinator) - SNF - Ochsner Post Acute Care Center - Full Time - Nights

Job Summary This position is responsible for patient care plans, providing and managing care to individuals and cohorts within the unit, designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions by coordinating, delegating, and supervising the healthcare team—including licensed nurses, patient care technicians, and other health professionals. The nurse facilitates effective and efficient discharge planning, serves as a critical communication link between the Unit Director, staff, patients, physicians, and other stakeholders, and assists in problem resolution and quality assessment. The role also liaises with Clinical Nurse Specialists, evaluates staff performance, and ensures the cost‑effective use of human, environmental, and material resources. Education Required: Registered Nurse diploma. Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Work Experience Required: 2 years of relevant experience in a fast‑paced, stressful environment. Certifications Required: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Strong analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent customer service skills Job Duties Uses the nursing process effectively in the delivery of patient care. Coordinates clinical operations on the unit. Communicates critical issues to appropriate parties. Manages and develops employees. Effectively manages resources. Performs other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Medium work: lifting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds frequently. The job requires walking or standing to a significant degree and may involve pushing and pulling of items up to 10 pounds of force. Routine duties include exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues, with an occupational risk for hazardous medications or waste.
