Position Overview The Utility Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the Distribution Center, changing forklift batteries, and running supplies to the operations floor as needed. This role typically reports into the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center. Responsibilities Daily Operations (75%): Scrubbing facility floors with propane‑powered equipment, moving plastic bales from balers into trailers using lift equipment, running supplies to operations floor including keeping pick mods stocked with corrugate, changing cardboard compactor containers, assisting operations in changing forklift batteries, observing housekeeping, safety, and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area, staying within company safety policies. Support Functions (25%): Maintenance of facility property including building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems; supporting the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned, including all operational areas of the Distribution Center; performing other tasks as assigned. Must Have Qualifications Operating equipment such as a scrubber and forklifts for most of the shift, requiring a valid driver and safety certification. Experience using routine industrial hand tools. Team player willing to perform various job duties to support the department and the facility objectives and key performance indicators. Customer‑service orientation willing to exceed the expectations of our customers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others (Supervisors, Managers, and peers). Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods. Preferred Skills and Experience Previous custodial experience.
