Clinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Assessments
We are looking for a committed Clinical Psychologist to become a part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will assess behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and perform thorough in-person evaluations for each Veteran.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-person assessments for U.S. Veterans regarding their disability claims.
- Review and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online platform.
- Document findings accurately and complete the necessary VA forms.
Note: This position does not involve providing treatment or prescribing medications. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the psychologist.
Position Details:- Schedule: Part-Time, 2 days a week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Location: In-person role.
- Caseload: Approximately 4 Veterans per day.
- Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
- A compassionate psychologist who is passionate about supporting the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate medical records and assessment data.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
- A professional and empathetic approach when interacting with Veterans.
- Possession of a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program.
- An active and unrestricted psychology license.
- Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
- Competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $48,000 annually (based on experience).
