Warehouse Manager - Amtrak

The Warehouse Manager supervises the administration and performance of all commissary activities, cross‑functional workers and clerks on his/her shift, reporting to the Assistant General Manager and interfacing with the General Manager, Office Manager, Client, and Vendors. The salary range for this position is $63,000 to $63,000. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. Job Responsibilities Coordinate the activities of the commissary to ensure a smooth flow of food and supplies to Amtrak trains. Responsible for requisitions, product tracking, temperature control, rotation and dating of product, inventories, and quality control. Establish and maintain work methods and practices to ensure the PARs are assembled in accordance with Amtrak's specifications and delivered to each car on time. Gather, record, and generate reports that reflect improvements in commissary productivity and service quality on their shift. Ensure that the commissary facilities and Amtrak's equipment are properly used, secured, and maintained. Enforce commissary, regional, and corporate security, safety, and sanitation policies. Supervise the activities of each cross‑functional worker during their shift. Maintain control of all commissary costs—including food, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, repairs, and any other related costs—on their shift. Provide guidance to the commissary team utilizing coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Maintain an accurate physical inventory, working with office staff to resolve inventory discrepancies. Plan and enforce performance standards for warehouse staff. Schedule the workforce to perform functions with minimal overtime, including actively participating in the performance of warehouse functions. Plan and execute training of warehouse staff. Plan and conduct daily shift briefings. Participate in monthly staff meetings. Ensure the warehouse and dock area is clean at all times. Consistently make recommendations to improve productivity, warehouse efficiencies, and customer service. Prepare and conduct performance reviews for warehouse staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business, Operations, or Management. Industry background including vending, food service, route distribution (e.g., uniform distribution or customer products), or retail. Functional background including route driving.
