Sound Technician

Sound Engineer Position At The HangoutThe Hangout is looking for a hard-working sound engineer who has a passion for live entertainment and is skilled in its technical elements. This individual will help assist with load-in and load-out for all the live music at The Hangout on a nightly basis, working closely alongside the bands in addition to the Entertainment Department for any additional special events which would involve the running of light and sound.Duties & Responsibilities:Perform load-in & load-out of band and rental equipmentSet up and break down of band and event equipmentCabling and patchingAudio adjustments, maintaining safe levels while providing a professional mixAudio control boards operationExperience on a Behringer X32 is preferred!Oversee visiting audio techs, especially during showsResponsible for protecting/maintenance and repair of audio equipmentAssist with production throughout the restaurant as neededEnsure proper care and handling of all rental audio equipmentInteract with visiting production crews to ensure a successful showDistribute or create audio plansOversee and operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venueEnsure special events audio needs are scheduled, met and executedAssist with stands, microphones, cables, etc.Assist with any special events operationsOther duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:2-3 years minimum stage production experience preferredExperience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systemsAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyMust possess interpersonal communication and organizational skillsMust possess audio mixing knowledgeConstruction/shop/electrical experience preferredGreat communication skills and ability to read and adapt to the crowdAbility to take direction and initiative well and is quick on their feetAbility to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levelAbility to lift up to seventy-five pounds
