Lube TechnicianThe main objective of the Lube Technician is to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on heavy mobile equipment. This work is vital for maintaining the safety and reliability of valuable assets used in the mining process.Essential FunctionsPerform detailed inspections of equipment and document current or potential problemsComplete preventative maintenance tasks including lubricationMaintain work and oil and parts storage areas in a clean, safe conditionMaintain inventories of parts and supplies used for preventative maintenanceProperly dispose of used fluids and other wastesPerform minor repairs or other work as neededParticipate in the planning of future workCompetenciesPrior relevant experience with the routine care of heavy mobile equipment.Ability to follow detailed routines for accomplishing maintenance work.Ability to communicate effectively through writing and electronic meansHigh attention to detailSafety mindsetTeamworkHigh sense of urgencyDrive for resultsRelationship buildingWork EnvironmentThis job operates 100% of the time in an underground or surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
