Accountant 2The Accountant 2 provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and prepares financial reports.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger Activities Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries for assigned companies and general ledger accounts timely and accuratelyReconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account informationSummarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing financial statements and other reports, and ensures deadlines are met monthly, quarterly and at year end closePrepares federal, state, and local reports including annual and monthly sales tax returnsMaintains financial security by following internal controlsPerforms other general ledger activity as assignedReconciliation/Analysis/Projects Reconciles balances of assigned asset and liability accountsIdentifies and analyzes significant fluctuations in asset and liability account balances to ensure accuracy of financial recordsRecommends financial actions by analyzing accounting optionsPrepares various monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliationsPrepares annual audit schedules for external auditors timely and accuratelyAssist with various accounting projects, including expense allocations, leased property and reporting activitiesQualifications3 years of accounting experienceBachelor's Degree in finance field
