Details Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 6:30 to 19:00 ED boarder patients included in unit population Cerner EMR experience preferred Requirements Active RN license - MD license or compact license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience within the last 7 years required Strong MS/Tele clinical experience required At least 1 previous travel assignment required for consideration Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms Additional Information Provide nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including ED boarders Participate in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and rapid response/code team activities Must reside within 60 miles of the facility to qualify for local candidate status RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot exceed 7 days per 13-week contract No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment Facility-specific training modules must be completed within one week of contract signing Labs and drug screening appointments must be completed within 48 hours of signing Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler Orientation available starting Oct 27 or Nov 10 American Traveler Job ID P-770147.
