Clinical Manager- Home Care Services

Job Responsibilities Leadership - The Clinical Manager provides programmatic leadership of the clinical component in assigned areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes. In collaboration with the Clinical Director, develops and implements goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures, and practices aligned with the strategic plan. Monitors daily operations and takes appropriate actions. Participates in the development, coaching, and evaluation of department personnel. Mentors and provides learning and development opportunities for direct reports. Establishes workforce communication and approaches that reflect our Core Values and cultural competence. Ensures staff competence through training and practice oversight. Integrates the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice. Ensures shared governance and shared decision making are integrated with leadership practices. Demonstrates interpersonal communication, presentations, written materials, and group facilitation skills. Holds self and others accountable for mutual professional expectations and outcomes. Compliance - Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Ensures quality and adherence to standards by utilizing auditing and quality assurance approaches. Follows the guidance of Directors in developing and implementing corrective action plans. Partners with department leaders of the Center for Professional Excellence (CPE) and Accreditation Services to improve staff performance, compliance, and documentation. Ensures all reporting staff have required competence and that their clinical performance meets standards of compliance. Promotes interdisciplinary involvement and knowledge of compliance standards, status, and actions. Facilitates knowledge and actions of employees with appropriate policies and standards of performance. Operations - Serves as a point of contact and resource for daily operations. Researches and resolves operational questions and problems. Supports staff in resolving complex issues and concerns. Oversees and guides day-to-day patient staffing. Evaluates and adjusts resource allocation based on patient needs and system factors. Establishes and maintains procedures for orientation of new employees. Ensures integration of annual operational goals into daily practice. Addresses problem trends, plans and implements solutions to improve processes and workflows for individuals and teams. Provides oversight and evaluation of clinical practices, patient outcomes, and all practices related to safety and quality of care. The Clinical Manager supports patient care delivery for their area as needed. Project Management - Provides leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of specific projects. Ensures alignment of projects with organizational priorities and the strategic plan. Develops project plans, resources, allocation, and timelines. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project teams to ensure effective utilization of resources. Reports on project progress to all stakeholders. Develops detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted. Integrates principles of inclusion throughout projects and daily operations. Financial Management - Engages in day-to-day operations that impact productivity. Analyzes and partners with others in decisions around resource allocation and recognizes the impact on productivity. In collaboration with the Director, develops, implements, and evaluates the department\'s annual operating and capital budget to achieve organizational and departmental objectives. Analyzes and monitors financial performance and assists in reporting financial results. Evaluates variances, determines underlying causes, and proposes solutions. Provides clinical practice leadership for the operation of specified patient services departments dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. Provides direct support and oversight of clinical practice, coordination of patient care delivery, coaching and development of staff, and management of the work environment.
