• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts. Must work Weekend Days (Saturday and Sunday) plus one rotating weekday.
• On-Call & Holiday: Call and holiday coverage is required.

• Required Qualifications & Unit Details

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of TRANSPLANT experience is a strict requirement (HARD STOP). First-time travelers are accepted only if they possess this strong 2-year transplant background.
• Case Types: The unit solely performs Abdominal Transplants (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver, Intestinal/Multi-visceral).
  • Note: Pediatric transplants done at Riley are not for travelers.
• Local/State Rule: Indiana (IN) residents are generally not accepted.
  • Exception: While IU Health has a strict rule against IN RNs working at their facilities, Periop/OR RNs are exempt and allowed to work past the deadline. However, all Periop IN RNs will have a bill rate that is $15 less.
