Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 4-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience performing nuclear cardiology studies utilizing the D-SPECT VISTA camera by Spectrum Dynamics. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to patient safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate and maintain D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) nuclear cardiology imaging equipment.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established safety guidelines.
- Acquire, process, and evaluate diagnostic images for quality and accuracy.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and provide appropriate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document patient information and procedure details accurately within the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification.
- Active state license (if required by state regulations).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine experience.
- Recent hands-on experience with D-SPECT VISTA by Spectrum Dynamics is required.
- Experience in nuclear cardiology and cardiac stress testing preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear cardiology imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
