Registered Nurse - NICU (Nights)

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12 hour night shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description: The NICU Registered Nurse will provide care for neonates in a Level IV NICU environment, managing various conditions and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Candidates must possess the ability to assess neonates, administer medications, and provide care for patients on ventilators and CPAP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs of neonates
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies under physician's orders
• Provide care for micro preemies, surgical patients, and others with complex medical conditions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and respiratory therapists
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Must have a valid nursing license; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Experience with EPIC documentation preferred
