With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Lead and support a team of engineers, including conducting one-on-one meetings, providing performance feedback, and facilitating career development discussions.Help plan and coordinate team objectives in alignment with program and organizational goals.Identify and remove blockers to keep the team productive and mission focused.Support staffing activities, including interviewing and onboarding new engineers.Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and mission execution.Basic Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.Ability to balance technical engineering responsibilities (~90% of time) with direct line management responsibilities (~10% of time).Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.Experience working within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments.Understanding of cost and schedule impacts associated with engineering deliverables.Strong attention-to-detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Self-starter with an eagerness for continuous learning and professional development.Interest in mentoring, coaching, and team development.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Preferred Qualifications. Experience supporting DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or hypersonic technologies.Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems.Experience supporting rapid development, prototyping, or fast-paced engineering programs.Familiarity with MIL-STD-31000 Technical Data Package (TDP) development and management.Prior experience with direct reports or formal people management responsibilities.Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers.Experience working within the Kinetic Effects Hypersonics Engineering Department.If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
