You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.Work Shift:Second Shift (United States of America)Job Description:The Inspector/Receiver is responsible for the physical receipt of product, general inspection, processing ERP transactions, putting away material.Responsibilities:Verifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documentsResponsible for dimensional inspection of incoming componentsMatch all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of any discrepanciesComplete receiving transactions in the ERP System the day components are receivedPlace all components and raw material in assigned locationsComplete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR)Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and fork lifts to unload trucksAll other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:High school diploma or minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferredMust be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hireBasic mechanical skillsIntermediate math skillsComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programsAbility to use inspection equipment ex: calipers, tape measures, micrometer, digital protractor, dial indicator)Ability to participate in minor data entryAbility to read tape measureAbility to read a blue printAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterityComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programsMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervisionWork Environment:ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace RequirementsAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.Gorbel is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
