· Number of Beds -8 labor, 8 antepartum, 4 triage, 2 ORSs (Mother baby unit has 27 beds, Level III NICU with 24 beds)

· Number of Staff – 70+ employees in L&D

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – 1 CNC, 1 OB tech, 1 transition nurse (baby catcher) 6+ RNs

o Night Shift - 1 CNC, 1 OB tech, 1 transition nurse (baby catcher) 6+ RNs

· Patient Ratios – labor1:2, antepartum 1:3

· Type of equipment – standard L&D equipment, including NOVII wireless monitors, centricity central fetal strip surveillance throughout the unit

· EMR – CPN, meditech for order entry and labs
