Financial Services Representative (Licensed Banker)

Overview A Financial Services Representative (FSR) supports sales and service delivery in the branch. The FSR builds and expands banking relationships through proactive customer outreach and customer service requests. This position is responsible for opening deposit accounts and related banking services and lending (including consumer real estate secured), as well as identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner. This role supports the fulfillment of certain consumer investment needs. Qualities of a Successful Candidate Sales Outreach: Self-starter that is disciplined enough to manage daily calling activity to achieve required results. Communication Skills – Interpersonal: Comfortable and confident with proactively engaging in conversation. Customer Service Skills: Builds trust and confidence with clients. Adaptability: Has the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new information and technology. Teamwork: Strives to build strong working relationships with those on their team as well as cross-functional relationships. Influence: Capable of building rapport with different personalities to drive positive results. Agility: Able to process information and move quickly through problem resolution. Responsibilities Sales – Achieve individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results relative to the specific metrics and goals assigned. Engage with customers, prospects and referral sources through proactive outreach. Represent the Bank in the community by attending civic and community events to generate additional business and identify potential CRA opportunities. Engage in sales practices that create value for both the customer and the bank. Service Standards – Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, prospects and colleagues. Initiate conversation to uncover sales or referral opportunities. Listen attentively and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and preferences; and take prompt actions to address immediate needs. Proactively look for ways to optimize performance by seeking coaching, supporting Bank initiatives and leveraging tools to enhance activities. Operations and Administration – Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions and financial exposures. Complete required training by established deadlines. Perform general office management duties as assigned to ensure operational efficiency. Associate roles defined to take deposits are accountable for transaction accuracy and operational efficiency of that function. Results may include accountability for individual contribution as well as team performance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in Sales, customer service, or lending; OR 6 months of experience in a customer support role at First Citizens Bank; OR participation in a First Citizens career development program; OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Sales, customer service, or lending; OR 6 months of experience in a customer support role at First Citizens Bank; OR participation in a First Citizens career development program. Preferred: Financial services sales, telephone sales; one year experience in a licensed sales role. License or Certification: Must obtain Series 6 or 7, 63 and state-specific life insurance licenses within 12 months of hire. Required Skills: Application of a structured sales process, Providing financial guidance and expertise, Financial literacy, Knowledge of retail banking products and services.
