Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care within an acute care division, with responsibilities including caring for post-Cath Lab patients and managing various patient statuses. The role requires flexibility to float to Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Unit settings as needed. Job Details Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to submit, BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), NIHSS, and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); at least 2 years of clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PCU/Telemetry, Post-Cath Lab, and acute care procedures. Additional Information: The unit has 21 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Must float as needed to Medical Surgical units and ICU for PCU patient status only. Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts may be required every 6 weeks. Charting System: EPIC. Shift Notes: Every other weekend, first to float, with up to 2 mandatory shifts every 6 weeks.
