Position Summary The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, back up, prepare and restore the job site, and prepare the truck for the following day while maintaining the truck and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly OSHA and DOT, for the safety of all personnel. Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy. Safely unload product and deliver to the assigned area as directed by the customer. Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck. Navigate routes to the job site. Basic Qualifications Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately. Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. to carry materials such as drywall and joint compound. Core Competencies Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity. Physical Requirements Remain standing 90% of the time and constantly move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site. Position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom. Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading flatbed. Constantly work outdoors while making deliveries. Communicate effectively with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information. Required Cognitive Skills Prioritize job sites and deadlines. Manage stress based on customer deadlines. Multitask effectively. Receive information and directions promptly. Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur. Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.
