Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Neuro Trauma Hourly Wage Estimate: $40.15 - $58.58 / hour Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 available to eligible new hires. Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Responsibilities Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient‑centered care. Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team. Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service. Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Support the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives. Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization. Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Current BCLS through AHA or ARC. Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure. Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field required; graduate of a certified school of nursing. Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred. Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred. Ability to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Demonstrated ability to have direct patient care and charge nurse responsibilities and to recognize the needs and concerns of people and maintain constructive relationships in all interactions. Adherence to all departmental safety initiatives and effective oral and written communication. Capability to participate in counseling and guidance of personnel and assume a leadership role with the health team in planning and delivery of patient care. Demonstrated competence with patient care information systems. Strong planning, analytical, and written skills. Ability to utilize and coach others in the nursing process. Ability to utilize database, spreadsheet, word processing to conduct analysis of statistical reports. Ability to educate, coach and mentor staff using adult learning principles.
