Veterinary Technician

Who We Are Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited general practice located on New York City’s Upper West Side that values veterinary technicians. Position Details Role: Veterinary Technician Status: Part-Time Salary: $28 - $31/hour, based on experience Schedule: 2-3 days per week Requirements: Veterinary Technician experience required; Veterinary Technician license preferred. Responsibilities Safe and effective patient handling and restraint Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines Attentive induction, monitoring, and recovery of surgical patients Emergency and surgical care – including IV catheter placement and intubation Obtaining diagnostics – radiographs, phlebotomy, sample collection, and performing in-house lab work Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions Qualifications Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing skills Experience with venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and radiology Excellent client communication and education skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers Commitment to providing exceptional patient care Benefits Competitive pay; 401(k) matching; tuition support; referral bonuses Medical, dental, vision coverage and supplemental options; up to three weeks of paid parental leave; generous PTO; employee discounts Quarterly team bonuses; continuing education allowance; state license & VTNE fee reimbursement; uniform allowance Six paid holidays; Employee Assistance Program Join Our Team!
