Financial Planning And Analysis Consultant / Financial Analyst / Business Intelligence Consultant

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Position Insights:

• Reporting in the finance department
• Team: supports the channel leaders and market leaders. They do business with multiple channels stores, call centers, agent locations, national retails (Bestbuy, Costco, Walmart)- they support all these sales channels
• Looking for someone to assist with data analytics, forecasting- making the numbers make sense
• Visualization - the deal with executive leadership. Once you analyze the numbers putting them into a presentation to help the executives understand the numbers.
• Qualifications: business finance or other management
• Skills requirements
• SQL queries – they do data mining
• Communication skills
• MS Excel- sophisticated formulas, using forecasting tools
• Powerpoint
• Tableau & click- nice to have, 2nd dairy requirement
• Forecasting- efficient way of doing it would increase the chance of getting the role
• Python or R or some program language- nice to have, not requirement
• Tools: excel- forecasting tools

Responsibilities:

• Mining various data sources and or providing visualization and analysis of complex data structures.
• Developing complex operational and financial models and corresponding assumptions used to evaluate the efficiency of several KPI's.
• Partnering with various departments including Retail, Digital, Inside Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Markets to provide timely and accurate financial, analytical, and tracking support.
• Providing tracking and reporting on initiatives and generate post mortems presenting the success of programs in terms of KPI performance as well as return on investment.
• Preparing sales and ops presentation materials and form proposals for executive review with CSO and SVPs.
• Provide support on development of dashboards tracking key metrics of program.
• Establish relationships with all departments and levels of the organization in order to understand the information needs of each.
• Assist with any ad hoc requests or special projects that require data analysis.
• Presenting and communicating to all levels of the business.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant experience
• Experience mining various data sources and or providing visualization and analysis of complex data structures.
