About the Job: The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. What You’ll Do: Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”. Assists the licensed practitioner in the completion of interventional procedures Works under the direction of the staff radiologic technologist Completes annual mandatory education on time. Who You Are: Enrollment in a formal Radiological Technologist training program from an AMA approved school.
