Programs for Infants and Children (PIC) in Anchorage is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. This is a professional early intervention role working with infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities, primarily in their homes and other natural settings. You’ll use your occupational therapy expertise to help children who need treatment build skills while supporting families in making development part of everyday life.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes early special educators, speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, and social workers. At PIC, professionals mentor and coach one another, build their skills through paid professional development, and have the flexibility and generous paid leave to support a sustainable career.

Using a family-centered coaching model, you’ll work with families to build strategies into everyday routines and activities—bringing early intervention directly into the places where children live, learn, and grow.

What You'll Do

• Assess children's developmental strengths and needs, including skills related to participation in everyday activities, and contribute to treatment goals.
• Provide early intervention strategies to support fine motor, sensory, self-care, play, and related developmental skills.
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers so they can support their child's participation, independence, and development.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate services and problem-solve together.
• Provide services primarily in children's homes and other natural community settings.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with families while supporting their priorities and choices

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with:

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a license to practice, or eligibility for licensure.
• A strong interest in early intervention, family coaching, and collaborative practice.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities or delays is preferred.
