Physician Associate - Orthopedics

Job Title

MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Brunswick is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join their established, high-volume practice.

Considered applicants would be joining a strong, cohesive group of 6 surgeons and 4 physician assistants. The ideal candidate would thrive in a team-based atmosphere of cross-coverage and daily inpatient rounding. This integrated practice provides on-site radiology as well as musculoskeletal rehabilitation services. This is a 40-hour per week position, typically including 1 operating room day and 3 clinic days. This position includes call coverage of 1:6, which primarily involves low volume phone calls in the evening and weekend rounding.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Active and unrestricted Maine PA-C license, or the ability to obtain state licensure prior to employment.
• Board certified/board eligible.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in orthopedics and/or OR.
• Comfortability working in hand-surgery is highly desirable.
