Senior Service Desk Analyst

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Service Desk Analyst provides support to users while maintaining accurate and complete records on each issue. They investigate and resolve complex problems while mentoring Service Desk Analysts. They are involved in the administration of Service Desk and its tools.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Proven ability to perform all job duties of the Service Desk Analyst.
2. Serve as a mentor to the Service Desk Analyst role.
3. Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex problems independently.
4. Participate in planning meetings for new projects.
5. Actively contribute to customer self-help through the publication of technically accurate knowledge base articles.
6. Serves as a back-up Administrator for all Service Desk tools.
7. Responsible for development of appropriate monthly metrics to demonstrate performance. Provides insight to Leadership on potential mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Job Specifications:

• Education : 4 year college degree in computer science/information systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification :CompTIA A+ certification is required. Additional CompTIA, Microsoft and other industry certificates are desirable.
• Experience : Five years previous experience with computer/network related diagnostics and repair. Previous Service Desk/Help Desk experience required.
