Responsibilities Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately Qualifications 2-3 years of previous dental assisting experience Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus Requirements Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below. Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays) Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification perferred, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations Michigan: upon hiring, furnish evidence of X-ray training certification; if not possessed at hiring, an 8-week period to submit it New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training New York: Not applicable Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays) Texas: CPR Certification, TX State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) certification About Great Expressions and Equal Opportunity GEDC is committed to diversity and inclusion and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
