Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Perform triage, ongoing assessment, monitoring, and timely administration of medications and IV therapy
- Participate in rapid assessment and resuscitation, supporting protocols for stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and other critical conditions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary ED team; communicate with patients and families; document care and observations in the EPIC EMR
- Float to related ED areas as needed; adapt to census and acuity while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Maintain competencies in unit-specific protocols, infection control, and patient safety practices

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification required
- Certifications: current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC from American Heart Association/National organizations
- Experience: 2+ years of Emergency Department experience; travel experience required; some pediatric exposure preferred
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred
- Travel eligibility: Must live 75 miles or more from the assignment site; locals within 75 miles eligible for local rate
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- RTO (reasonable time off) must be included at time of submission
- Education: nursing degree from an approved program (implicit in RN licensure)
