Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Job Description

Perform method development and validations to support efforts to expand existing assays for Illinois and develop assays for new markets.

Responsibilities

• Apply GMP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
• Perform a large variety of analytical tasks for the validation of analytical methods used in the testing of products and raw materials using various procedures including HPLC and GC.
• Read, understand, and interpret diverse analytical procedures.
• Conduct analytical investigations.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and communicate with vendors when required.
• Train and mentor junior staff in laboratory procedures.
• Manage and discuss projects with clients.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in chromatography and method validation.
• BS or MS degree in analytical chemistry or related field.
• BS and 4+ years of industry experience or MS and 2+ years of lab experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience with chromatography.
• 3+ years of experience with chromatographic validation in a GMP environment.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), specifically QBench LIMS.
• Familiarity with calibration and certificates of analysis.

Work Environment

Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Naperville,IL.
