Shift: Monday - Friday 3p - 11:30p with OT as required. ActivelyparticipatesinMarzetti OperationalExcellence,special projects or tasks,andmodificationprograms as needed with prior approval. Activelyparticipatesin department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up. Safety – Marzetti Values: Work Safely Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards. Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves,shieldsandaprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provideoptimalpersonal safety & protection while working in thefacility. SuccessfullyacquiresandmaintainsLock Out-Tag Out Certification formachineand safely performs all functions in accordancetoOHSA andcompany requirements and standards. Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation. As a member of the T. Marzetti Company,completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO),correctsissues whenidentified,andparticipatesin problem solving. Marzetti Company,completes his/her Behavior Based Qualityobservations(BBQ),correctsissues whenidentifiedandparticipatesin problem solving. Ensures compliancetoquality, food safety/Food Safety Plan,FSMA,Food Defense,5S, OSHA and othersupport programs; assures conformity to all company,customerand government standards. Communicatesany concerns related to product safety, integrity,qualityand legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary. Collect samples of ingredients, products and/orpackages and monitorand test according to established procedures. Inspect and swabequipment/environment.Communicate any issues and/or concerns toappropriate technicalservices or operations team. Monitor processes toassurethey areoperatingconsistently. Document neatly and precisely allresults. Label andmaintainsamples of ingredients or products forretainsorshelf lifemonitoring. Identifyingpotential hazards andsolutionstoissues. Addressing customer complaints andsolution. Organize collected data for management review (charts, graphs, tables,etc.) Maintain lab area and equipment in orderlyfashion. Communicate inconsistent results or observations to managementimmediately. Maintains standard production quantities/rates for eachproduct. Recommend methods for improving any processes to reduce waste, improve productivity, improve quality and/or consistency. Accurately weigh colors,flavorsand other smallingredients. Test R&D samples for Food Safety and specification development. Assistproduction whennecessary. Regular Attendance isrequiredin accordance withCompany attendance policy andprocedures. Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management Completeinitial/annual training to ensure the individual is properly qualified (QI) to perform all required job tasks as outlined in training programs/records. Qualifications Experience isa plusinunderstandingquality assurance and/or control processes, preferably in a food manufacturingenvironment. Basic math, science, analytical, and problem-solving skillsrequired. Ability to efficiently organize work,tasksandtime. Written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – verbally & written – to and work well with Team, Management, Customers,Vendorsandvisitors and to follow and giveaccuratedetailed instruction (written & oral). Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment. Minimum of High School Diploma or GEDrequired. Bachelor’s Degree in food science,biology orsciencepreferred. Working Conditions/Environment Works in a laboratory and manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Requires some lifting of moderately heavy items such as test equipment and product cases. Must be able to stand for an 8–10-hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks. May be required to work overtime and / or weekends as needed. The employee may be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts / equipment, and handling hazardous testing and sanitation chemicals. The Noise level in the lab is moderate and loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
