Head of Commercialization

Senior Director of Commercialization As The Zebra's Senior Director of Commercialization, you will lead the account management team and build a brand‑new Business Development function from the ground up. Your focus will be on ensuring client needs are met, growing the revenue portfolio, and driving company‑wide performance through strategic leadership, data‑driven decision making, and cross‑functional collaboration. Location Headquarters: Austin, TX. Remote work is available across the U.S.; hybrid options are available for Austin employees. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Strategy Build, lead, and mentor the existing account management team while hiring and standing up the inaugural Business Development team. Define success metrics for each function and set quarterly goals to drive overall company performance. Assess and size the impact of investments from partners and devise creative strategies for key accounts and new leads. Research industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market movements to identify new lines of business. Partner with Product to determine necessary collaborations and product enhancements. Own points of distribution, traffic monetization, and external distribution relationships. Identify, scope, and strategize new monetization approaches and product lines in partnership with the executive team. Strategic Planning & Performance Manage pivots in product strategy to meet company targets. Drive revenue growth and improve KPIs by managing a portfolio of accounts across all products. Develop structured proposals for new business and increased investment in The Zebra's products. Analyze performance metrics and financial data to identify trends, improvement areas, and performance gaps. Qualifications Experience – 10+ years in the insurance industry with substantial leadership roles. Builder Mindset – Proven experience building new departments or functions from scratch, specifically within Business Development or Sales. Technical Proficiency – Salesforce experience. Relationship Management – Ability to manage complex, multifaceted relationships with key carrier partners. Operational Rigor – Strong analytical experience in ad revenue operations. Multitasking – Manage multiple projects of varying size and scope while prioritizing effectively. Communication – Very strong interpersonal skills to motivate teams and liaise with senior leadership. Mobility – Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
