At Didion Milling, Inc., we’re seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Specialist who loves the chase—diagnosing issues, restoring performance, and designing better ways to keep our food manufacturing operations running.

Imagine your impact

You start your shift with a quick scan of overnight notes, then prioritize a PM on a critical belt system. Mid-morning, you trace a pneumatic fault to a sticky valve, rebuild it, and document the fix. Before day’s end, you propose an improvement that reduces wear on a drive chain. Every action you take directly supports uptime and product quality.

Schedule and compensation

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm or 7:00am–4:00pm
• Participation in an on-call rotation
• Pay rate: $30–$40 per hour (based on experience)

What you’ll take on

• Deliver reliable maintenance support to help the team achieve operational excellence.
• Tackle diagnostics, make precise repairs/adjustments, and rebuild components to drive down downtime.
• Execute PMs and recommend improvements that enhance throughput and reliability.
• Advance through structured training and certifications toward Senior Mill Maintenance Technician.

• Electrical basics and test instruments
• Pumps, boilers, and air compression systems
• Conveyors, chains, sprockets, pulleys, and belts
• Motors and bearings
• Valves, process piping, and instrumentation
• Welding and fabrication equipment

What sets you up for success

• High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent experience); technical school training or degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred; dry food manufacturing exposure is a plus.
• Personal hand tools on day one (wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, socket set, pliers, hammer, etc.).
• Foundational electrical knowledge and intermediate welding skill preferred.
• Comfort with computers: browsers, Microsoft Office; quick to learn new applications.
• English fluency to ensure safe, clear communication.
