RN Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) Buckhead Center for Nursing and Healing | Atlanta, GA Buffhead Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking an experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to lead education, training, and infection prevention at our skilled nursing facility. About The Role As our SDC, you’ll be the cornerstone of staff education and development—overseeing new hire orientation, ongoing training, and compliance programs. You’ll also manage employee health and lead infection prevention initiatives, ensuring our team is prepared, supported, and always regulatory‑ready. Key Responsibilities Ensure facility compliance with regulatory requirements related to staff credentialing and education. Provide services associated with the ongoing professional development of staff at the facility. Conduct new employee orientation and coordinate competency completion. Ensure delivery of annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to state and federal regulations and company policy. Teach certain in‑house courses, such as the CNA training program and special care unit training. Coordinate employee health program (immunizations, flu shots, physical exams, etc.). Monitor and ensure current licensure and certifications of facility staff. Maintain employee education, training, and health files. Act as an Infection Preventionist to lead compliance efforts with infection prevention requirements. What We’re Looking For Active RN license in good standing. Prior experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing is preferred. Strong communication, teaching, and leadership skills. Knowledge of infection prevention standards and training best practices.
