Physical Therapist

Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment, progressing patient treatment as appropriate, and carrying patient load that reflects productivity standards. Evaluates patients accurately. Plans appropriate treatment. Sets and meets functional goals. Revises and progresses treatment program as goals are met. Provides instruction to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers. Position: Physical Therapist – Location: Vinita, OK – Shift: M‑F 8:00‑4:30 – Duration: 13 weeks, 40 hrs/week Job Responsibilities Providing clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment, progressing patient treatment as appropriate, and carrying patient load that reflects productivity standards. Setting and meeting functional goals and revising treatment programs accordingly. Maintaining accurate treatment records and completing daily patient charges promptly. Accurately reflecting time spent, procedures performed, and equipment used in patient charges. Participating in continuing education activities, departmental in‑services, and keeping abreast of technical advances. Attending at least 90% of scheduled in‑services and departmental meetings. Providing instruction to patients, families, and other healthcare providers. Following care‑path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs. Assisting the in‑charge therapist with daily responsibilities and operations. Scheduling and prioritizing daily work assignments. Delegating patients to RPTA or other support personnel when appropriate. Assisting with patient observation, volunteer, and student activities as requested by the in‑charge therapist. Assisting with training of new PT staff. Carrying out non‑routine procedures under changing conditions in conformance with supervisor instructions. Coordinating activities of others without supervising. Working directly with patients and customers, as well as internal and external customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and staff. Required Skills & Experience Zero to six months of related experience. Effective presentation of information and ability to respond to patient and family questions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Basic computer knowledge for data input and reporting. Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Strong reasoning ability and adaptability. Required Education Graduation from an accredited School of Physical Therapy. Required Certification & Licensure Valid State of Oklahoma Licensure. OR Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice Physical Therapy. Basic Life Support (BLS).
