What You'll Do
- Assist in preparing, mixing, compounding, and dispensing medications to patients
- Follow hospital policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure accurate medication distribution
- Use automation software and technology to support medication processing
- Perform medication calculations accurately, including fractions, ratios, and decimals
- Occasionally drive for medication deliveries when needed
- Maintain strong interpersonal relationships with team members and patients
What You Need
Required:- Valid pharmacy technician license
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a pharmacy technician
- Good math skills and computer proficiency
- Must be 18 years or older, with a clean criminal record (no drug-related felonies)
- Experience with pharmacy automation software
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
About the Assignment This position is based at a leading facility in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. You will support the pharmacy team by preparing and dispensing medications, adhering to hospital policies, and ensuring excellent patient service. The role includes holiday coverage and requires working two holiday blocks.
