Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in Hanford, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Work a 3x12-hour day shift (36 hours per week) in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in Labor and Delivery per established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, progress, and outcomes; ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with the care team to support smooth transitions of care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Labor and Delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12 schedule)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to complete facility credentialing and onboarding processes for travel assignment
