Aligned with the overall strategy of the UFC and the UFC Performance Institute (UFC PI), the Senior Manager, Sports Medicine leads the delivery and continuous advancement of elite sports medicine services at the UFC Performance Institute, partnering with the Vice President of Sports Medicine to establish clinical standards, injury-prevention strategies, rehabilitation guidelines, and return-to-performance protocols. Oversees the provision of elite level sports therapy services including evaluations, program planning and treatments that include manual, myofascial, modality and other therapeutic exercise interventions. Provides clinical oversight and day-to-day supervision of the sports medicine team and clinical interns, ensuring quality of care, consistent application of protocols, timely feedback, and ongoing professional development. Manages integration of sports medicine services into a multi-disciplinary model of care that includes strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, and performance science. Conducts the continual review of physical therapy care guidelines with an emphasis on return to play protocols. Serves as a subject matter expert in development of support systems to aid in athlete assessment, data collection, and data management. Cultivates relationships with athletes, coaches, and gyms to distribute evidence-based relevant information. Participates in on-going training with athletes, coaches, and UFC PI staff members to ensure continued professional development and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
