Unit Director Psychiatry

Overview The Director of Adult Outpatient Services (AOS) is a clinical and administrative leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance, and clinical quality of the Department of Psychiatry. This role oversees a high-volume, multidisciplinary outpatient service and ensures delivery of safe, efficient, and evidence-based psychiatric care across diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Direct all adult outpatient psychiatric services, ensuring top-tier care standards, patient safety, and clinical outcome metrics. Lead daily operations, optimizing workflows, capacity management, and integrated care delivery models. Supervise a multidisciplinary clinical team and oversee training programs, recruitment, and professional development. Ensure total adherence to federal/state regulations and accreditation standards while maintaining audit readiness. Drive program expansion, innovation, and long-term resource planning in alignment with institutional goals. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN required) Minimum 5–7 years of post-residency clinical experience Prior leadership experience with proven success managing multidisciplinary teams and driving operational growth or clinical innovation Deep knowledge of complex ambulatory psychiatry and regulatory/billing compliance Experience in teaching hospitals or academic appointments preferred Pay Range USD $302,000.00 - USD $330,000.00 /Yr.
