Open-Source Data Analyst- Huntsville, AL

The Prototyping Manufacturing and Integration Division (PMID) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., is seeking a skilled Open‑Source Data Analyst to conduct data‑driven strategies and shape the future of our business‑facing products across measurement and optimization. This full‑time, on‑site position is located with our customer in Huntsville, Alabama. The analyst will utilize data science and analytical skills to identify and solve the customer’s biggest challenges, working with web, social media, and publicly available content—including Commercially Available Information (CAI), Publicly Available Information (PAI), Commercial Telemetry Data (CTD), and Advertising Technology (AdTech). They will analyze and process large datasets, collaborate with DoD and warfighters to understand requirements, and extract actionable insights. Responsibilities include: analysing and processing large data collections, exploring new data sources, creating effective queries, combining information from diverse sources to support mission objectives, and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders. Open‑Source Data Analyst Must Haves: Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to upgrade to TS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related field and 2+ years relevant work experience, OR equivalent experience and 8+ years in Data Science, Data Mining, Analytical Research, UTS, etc. Experience with link/nodal analysis, collection plans, risk assessment Advanced search knowledge: Boolean logic, search engines, database resources Knowledge of internet sources, social media, exploitation, commercial databases Industry experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, algorithm analysis, data clustering Strong communication and briefing skills for senior leaders Ability to deliver rapid intelligence responses Technical writing skills Experience with visual analytics tools such as Microsoft Pivot, Maltego, Palantir, or similar Strong knowledge of data querying and aggregation Exceptional analytical research capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs Wish List/Preferred: Active/Current TS/SCI Clearance Master’s degree in a related field 5+ years experience in Data Science, Data Mining, Analytical Research, or equivalent Location: Huntsville, Alabama. #J-18808-Ljbffr VetJobs
