Details facfacility setting on a Medical Surgical unit Patient ratio of 1:6 Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 to 19:15 Every other weekend required Floating required Epic charting system used Requirements Active IL RN license required, no pending licenses accepted Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required Required certifications: BLS and ACLS NIHSS certification preferred Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy required Experience with peripheral line care/management required Experience starting and maintaining IVs required Experience with nasal cannula oxygen administration required Experience with non-invasive airway management and oral suctioning required Experience managing heparin and insulin medications required Experience using Rapid Response/Code teams required Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE required Wound care and wound vac experience required Epic charting experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, including IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory support First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no more than 3 days off and no time off requested during the first or last week of the contract Former employees of University of Chicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler Block scheduling is not accommodated American Traveler Job ID P-743233.
