Position Overview

A full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests under the supervision of anesthesiologists. The role involves participating in clinical instruction for nurse anesthesia students and working within a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and surgeons across multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based anesthesia services.
• Contribute to a team that performs over 50,000 procedures annually across numerous operating rooms.
• Assist in clinical education and mentorship of nurse anesthesia students.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
• Alabama CRNA license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate empathy, confidentiality, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Capable of managing emergency and critical situations effectively.
