Director of Rehabilitation Services

Director of Rehab Services Ballard Rehab Hospital, located in San Bernardino, CA, is a 60‑bed rehabilitation facility that provides rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. It offers a fast‑paced, friendly work environment where staff can develop close relationships with patients and their families. Responsibilities Serve as the Director of all rehabilitation services for the hospital. Responsibilities include achieving clinical and financial operational goals, monitoring admissions and treatment schedules, assisting in marketing, implementing hospital policy, developing new programs, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and CARF accreditation, and providing additional administrative supervision and rehabilitation management as established by the Chief Executive Officer/Board. Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree required. Valid, active license to practice as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist in the state of employment. Minimum five (5) years of therapy‑related experience. Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor. Additional Qualifications/Skills Master’s Degree in an allied health field preferred. Three (3) years of management experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills. Ability to remain calm under stress and interact with people under physical or emotional stress. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Professional image and presentation. Experience with inpatient psychiatric population (preferred).
