Public Tax ManagerOne of our clients has an immediate need for a Public Tax Manager in their Birmingham, AL office. This is a permanent opportunity with excellent benefits.Responsibilities:Prepare and review Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returnsPerform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topicsPerform a variety of tax consulting projects such as permanent establishment analyses and nexus studiesProvide timely and high-quality services and deliverables that exceed client expectationsMaintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfactionPrepare clear, concise workpapers and other communicationsImpart knowledge, facilitate staff development, and provide training and learning experiencesEffectively delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources and removing obstaclesTeam with partners and senior personnel on proposals and business development opportunitiesProvide timely training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associatesDesired Skills & Experience:4-6 years of professional Federal and state income tax experience including experience in public accounting1-2 years of income tax return review experienceBA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/TaxationCPA license
