Facilities Specialist

Job Overview Support facilities staff by performing maintenance duties such as maintenance of office equipment, computer systems, electrical projects, and light construction. Works with outside contractors and vendors on facilities and equipment repairs. Provides general maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations maintenance for all equipment used in the facility. Shift Schedule 6 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday – Wednesday. Key Responsibilities Measure voltage and current accurately and safely; use data to troubleshoot circuits. Align bearings, shafts, and drives. Adjust tension of belts and chains. Develop overall maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device. Analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary. Troubleshoot network systems. Troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices. Configure and troubleshoot IBM‑compatible computers. Education & Minimum Requirements 0–2 years of relevant experience. High school diploma, degree, or equivalent. Critical Skills 1+ year of facilities engineering experience. Discretionary, decisive, and organized thinking regarding best practices. Self‑motivated and self‑directed. Extreme attention to detail. Flexible to meet changing business demands and situations. Understanding and promotion of ICARE principles. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with customers, employees, and ideally McKesson network and suppliers. Additional Skills Electrical : Measure voltage and current accurately and safely; troubleshoot circuits. Trained to work with 460V, 220V, 120V AC and 24V DC circuits. Knowledge of motor starting circuits and power distribution circuits. Ability to read electrical schematics and evaluate operations. Read ladder logic, download/upload PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions. Work with control circuits using devices such as photoeyes, solenoid valves, limit switches, indicating lights, and safety switches. Mechanical : Align bearings, shafts, drives. Adjust tensions of belts and chains. Identify worn or damaged parts and replace them. Lubricate, oil, and clean devices as specified in maintenance manuals. Work with pneumatic circuits involving cylinders and solenoid valves. Computer : Analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary. Troubleshoot network (ethernet) systems. Troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices. Set up and analyze RS232/RS422 communications between computer(s) and peripheral devices. Compensation Base pay range: $25.82 – $43.04 per hour.
