Machine Repair Technician-Novi Mi

Contract position for 6 months, an extension depends on the candidates job performance. Day shift 6 am start- 10 hour days and Saturdays maybe required

Pay rate: up to $27 an hour depending on experience

Duties

• Maintains, installs, and repairs a variety of machine tools and equipment
• Tear down damaged or defective units
• May replace or repair worn or damaged parts or components and reassemble
• May perform some machining on replacement parts or may do electrical troubleshooting and repairs on CNC, manual or other plant machines
• Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment, machines, mobile equipment
• Assists Machine Repair and Mobile Equipment Mechanic as necessary
• May perform minor building maintenance including but not limited to light electrical, plumbing, cement work, etc.

Skills

• Daily tasks for all of the equipment in both of the clients locations in Novi
• Knowledge of lubrication, experience in changing oil and filters, and tool changer operations
• Understanding of electrical components and circuit boards
• Tasks include preventive maintenance, repair of machines & equipment which includes all manual & CNC machines
• Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics & mechanical repair
• 3 solid years of consistent running of a CNC, but not in a production environment
