Certified Notary Public Location South San Francisco, CA $500 Hiring Bonus!* Notary Required - Retail Sales Associate - The UPS Store The Notary Retail Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Sales Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform notarial acts, including but not limited to acknowledgments, jurats, and oaths Provide excellent customer service to clients seeking notary services Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others Maintains a clean and safe working environment Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience Manages the logistics of small to medium projects, follows through to completion, and updates all parties as needed May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc. Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents Produces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for print projects using Adobe and Microsoft Suites

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a commissioned Notary Public in the State of California Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell additional services Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation Proficient in using technology and comfortable with technical sales processes Ability to operate a cash register and handle financial transactions accurately *Hiring Bonus is paid out prorated every 3 months up until 1 year of employment* Note: This is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include every task or responsibility that may be required.
