SENIOR REGISTERED NURSE

Requisition No: 878559 Agency: Department of Health Working Title: SENIOR REGISTERED NURSE - 64068640 Job Overview This position is supervised by the SR RN SUPERVISOR and Nursing Director (as assigned). Primary duties include serving as the RN for the Family Planning Provider, Prenatal, Women’s Health RN, STD, PreP, HIV, Hep C, Immunization, Refugee and Tuberculosis clinics as directed. Duties encompass maximizing access to services and assisting with the Prenatal Breast and Pap follow‑up. Nursing services are performed in accordance with the Florida Nursing Standards and Flagler County Health Department protocols, FL‑DOH internal operating procedures, Technical Assistance guidelines, CDC and Title X guidelines. Responsibilities also include case management for the Family Planning program, networking with clerical staff for client recalls, and providing case management for the sterilization program and breast/cervical cancer screening program. Services include immunizations, pregnancy testing, counseling on contraception, HIV testing, STD screening and treatment, TB screening and treatment, LTBI, Direct Observed Therapy, diabetes and epilepsy program, and general clinic medication issuance. Tasks include assessment, medication issuance, history collection, counseling, arranging referrals and testing, documentation in the electronic health record, service data entry, scheduling return appointments, performing venipuncture, fingerstick hemoglobin and glucose testing, urine testing, pregnancy testing, vision and hearing screens, specimen collection, examination room set up and maintenance, and managing vaccine inventory per CDC and Florida Department of Health guidelines. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to conduct TB case management training. Qualifications Must be willing to accept this salary if offered the position. Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties and responsibilities. Must have current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
