Job Title : Loan Assistant Department: Lending Reports To: Loan Officer

SUMMARY:

This is a full-time position in which the person has the responsibility for assisting the loan officer, handling assigned tasks, and providing the customer service required for all loan customers. The position is supervised by the assigned Loan Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Manage workload by assisting Loan Officer with preliminary preparation of maturing loans for renewal.

·         Preparing documentation of fund transfers for debits and/or credits from and to loans with respective deposit accounts.

·         Maintain Debt/ Deposit Summary for each client and update on an as needed basis.

·         Ability to professionally conduct oneself with telephone, email, and written correspondence with customers and/or co-workers.

·         Willingness to research and clear exceptions to loans as determined by EBT’s Loan Policy.

·         Willingness to extend working hours where necessary to accommodate the completion of varied tasks on behalf of the customer.

·         Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by immediate supervisor

·         Typing, standing, lifting boxes/files, extended reaching, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Minimum of two-years experience as an office assistant with experience in customer service, managing work flow, and/or working with a Loan Officer in completion of tasks

·         Competence in Word, Excel, 10-key adding machine, copy machine and other office machines available to the assistant.

·         Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and to take initiative in problem solving customer question and/or issues.

·         Ability to communicate effectively with a client or prospective client in taking loan application.

·         Knowledge of resources to compile necessary information to properly analyze a loan for approval or declination.

·         Knowledge of Customer Information File to assist with preparation of loan presentation, research of payment history’s, and any other assignment necessary to accommodate the needs of the customer.

·         Ability to read and comply with EBT’s loan policy while assisting in the underwriting, and/or ordering, closing, booking, and funding of loan.
